Welcome to Busy Bee Adventures! I’m Bri and I’m so excited to have you here on this journey with me. First off, let me share a little secret behind the blog name – my mother fondly calls me “Bee,” and that’s how Busy Bee Adventures came to life. She was a travel agent (now she’s a teacher!) & the name “Busy Bee Adventures” is a tribute to the love for travel my mother instilled in me from a young age. Thanks to her, my passion for travel started early and has truly flourished over the years.
Now in my late twenties, I’m always on the lookout for any adventure, whether it’s close to home or abroad, and part of the fun for me lies in the first part of traveling… the planning! I adore researching places and activities, and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to share my research and itineraries with you and take you along on my journeys.
I currently live in Texas with my two favorite travel buddies – my husband, Kyrk, and our golden retriever, Ollie. Click here to learn more about Ollie and to read my “dog blog”!
While I do work full time, I am a firm believer in the importance of embracing the joy and excitement that life has to offer beyond the confines of our working hours. Whether it involves seeking thrilling adventures in our hometown during days off or utilizing PTO to embark on journeys to distant lands – both avenues are equally enchanting. Through this blog, I hope to inspire you to spread your wings and explore the world, whether you’re traveling far or staying near. Together, let’s appreciate the little moments and celebrate the thrill of wanderlust. Adventure awaits, and I can’t wait to share it all with you!

Travel planning doesn’t have to be stressful – I encourage you to get out there and experience all that the world has to show you!
Palo Duro Canyon – TX
– My vow renewal / elopement ceremony in Palo Duro Canyon was amazing and the pictures were STUNNING. Future posts will be coming about this experience, including a guide for planning your own adventure elopement!
Goat Yoga – TX
– Goat yoga was something on my bucketlist for awhile and I am SO GLAD I did it. It’s such a hoot watching the goats jump on everyone’s backs and seeing them in their PJ onsies. This is typically an experience you can find in almost any city near you. I recommend searching thru Eventbrite to find your closest option.
Favorite travel activities:
Hiking is definitely my favorite – we enjoy it so much, we even based our entire vow renewal ceremony around it! If I’m not hiking, I love to lounge with a good book, or find a super cute local coffee shop. I’ve also recently discovered my love for scuba diving. So hopefully there will be lots of that in future blog posts! Honestly though, there aren’t many activities I’d turn down, as long as I’m out doing something fun with great people.
Favorite travel spot:
With my love for camping, hiking, and outdoorsy adventures – I’d say Colorado is my current favorite. You just can’t beat the beautiful views! It just fits so many different travel types. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, romantic or family oriented, or even summer or winter.
Travel bucket list:
This is such a tough one to answer because my travel bucket list is longer than a CVS receipt ;). In the next few years I’d love to make it to Italy, Croatia, Asia, and so many more places. It’s also a huge dream of mine to someday take a “gap year.” I’d love to do nothing but travel and blog for a whole year – maybe I’d even make it to Mt. Everest! But we’ll just see what life brings.
